Haven't been posting much, but that doesn't mean I haven't thought about it! I'm taking Supernova II here and I'm really enjoying it. I like watching the videos over and over, and practicing what Julie is teaching. It has been fun. I am going to probably take Art Journaling 101 next. I have a bunch of other classes I want to take this year. I enjoy the classes, and they give me the much needed feedback and confidence.
Here is a page that I started when I didn't know what the heck I was doing. I think I like it.
Oh and here is the finished version of a page I posted previously.

Hi Deb, thanks for visiting my blog :-) Hope that you will join in the calendar challenge for May - leave a comment on my blog when you post and then all the challengers can pop over to your blog for a peek. Don't forget to check out the Flickr group too where all the photos can be seen in one place. Kate x
Hahaha, I love it. Couldn't have said it better myself!
Can't wait for the challenges!
Hi Deb!
Great question--yes, you can totally use duct tape for the handmade journal :) I just use masking tape because it's cheap and it does the job :P Also, paint sticks to it pretty decently. If you wanted to paint the duct tape spine you might want to consider gesso'ing it first since its surface is pretty glossy.
Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
Good stuff Deb! I can't wait to see what you are learning in your journaling class. :)
Good stuff Deb! I enjoy looking at your blog! :-)
Hi Deb, I just read your comment--and a funny thing--I DID go to the Ink Pad :) Another blogger friend told me about it. I was there for only about 15 minutes, because my husband and son were "patiently" waiting and I spent $100 in that amount of time--I probably would have kept going--I loved it!
Hi Deb, you had dropped me a line on my blog this week and asked me if my journaling class was still open and it is--you can sign up for it at www.creativeworkshops.ning.com . There should be a link on the front page. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have :)
